1964 Lincoln Continental Convertible powertrain restoration
Rich corrected years of partial repairs and neglect on this 1964 Convertible.
Originally a Texas car, at some point the engine was replaced, wiring was modified, and non original parts were installed.
As a result many of the factory systems were non-functional.
This powertrain restoration included a rehab of the engine bay down to metal, a complete engine rebuild, transmission rebuild, rear trans axle rebuild, new wiring, new air handling, cooling and heating, new vacuum systems, new suspension, new steering, new engine cooling system, new A/C, and many other powertrain items. A conversion to front disc brakes was also completed - implemented with an intent of enhanced safety, while not compromising the integrity of the factory correct restoration.
